Happy Thanksgiving!

Just taking a break from cooking our Thanksgiving dinner to post a picture of our dessert, a fabulous chocolate cherry trifle, adapted from Nigella Lawson’s “Feast” cookbook. It is comprised of a layer of brandy-soaked chocolate cake sandwiched with cherry jam, followed by a layer of cherries, then a sumptuous chocolate custard and finally whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Not for the faint of heart, but boy is it good!

Oh, and that’s my latest apron, too!
